Kelly graduated from OCA in Editorial Illustration in 1983, and Graduated from OCAD-U with a Bachelor of Design in 2012. She is the winner of the 2009 City of Burnie Tas Art Exhibition Cruikshank Financial Award for Oil and Acrylic, and 2010 Brampton’s Art Person of the Year.
She has been a Wildlife Artist for the past 18 years. Kelly’s work is shown internationally, as far away as Tasmania, Turkey, and Russia. She has galleries in North Carolina, Illinois, Wyoming and in Southern Ontario. She has exhibits in large Wildlife Shows in Charleston, South Carolina, and Buckhorn.
“..I like to capture the life, the vitality and the warmth of my subjects, whether it’s a wolf sunning in the forest light, or a swan back-lit on lake casting abstract reflection for me to paint. I really feel that I have succeeded when someone looks at one of my paintings and can’t help but smile.”
Kelly has a passion for wildlife, traveling, and photographing wildlife for reference.
