LYNDEN COWAN

As a self-taught artist, Lynden Cowan is drawn to oil paint on canvas and for the most part, the use of triple zero brushes for working on fine detail. Her paintings are meticulously rendered from multiple layers of thinly applied paint, and small strokes pick up the surrounding light, breathing life into the subject. The artist prefers working in natural daylight, and since that varies from day to day, the subject starts to develop its own mood and personality.

Wild landscape and highly detailed scenes are Lynden’s’ subject of choice and she strives to include the viewer in her visual journey and interpretations on the natural world and human nature that surrounds her.
