TINA CLANCY

“My paintingsreflect the love and joy I feel for this vast and beautiful world…”

Tina works out of her home studio in Milton Ontario, creating abstract paintings in acrylic & mixed media. Her paintings come alive with movement, colour, and expression. Informed by memories of what she has seen, sensed, wondered and experienced, Tina paints intuitively and imaginatively as for her painting is a deeply reflective experience.

It was a mid-20th century art movement in Japan which inspired Tina to begin painting. The suggestion that the expression of a painting can originate from the materials and processes themselves, inspires Tina to use a variety of approaches with acrylics and other mediums to reveal and maneuver these expressions as they emerge, as images or non-images or in scenes of colour, mood, and moment.

Tina’s work has been shown in several different shows & exhibits throughout Milton, Hamilton, Toronto, and the Niagara Peninsula. She is an active member of The Fine Arts Society of Milton (FASM) and shows her work in their exhibits at the Holcim Gallery in FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton.  Also, Tina is a member of the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre where her work can be seen year round. Tina also exhibits regularly in Art in the Workplace exhibits at the Atrium@MIP (McMaster Innovation Park) in Hamilton, Ontario.
