March 30th – April 24th CFS Members 2 Foot Square Exhibition 2021

Come explore the works by the Colour and Form Society members 2 foot square exhibition and sale, a variety of mediums, styles and subject matter, something for everyone.

AWARD RECIPIENTS:  

First Prize: –Sherry Park – “Portrait of an Artist” -Captures an honest representation of the model. There is no forced facial expression but conveys a sincerity and genuine reflection of the moment.

Second Prize: –Monica Burnside- “The Conversation” – I was intrigued by the two figures and the compelling mystery of their conversation. The two figures are beautifully entwined with such creatively detailed patterning.

Third Prize: –Nadia Gurkova – “The Colour of My Summer” – I was captured by the well planned composition of this still life.  All the objects were so carefully laid out in order to lead your eye through this well-designed painting and coming to rest on the sunflowers.

Honourable Mention: – Micheal Zarowsky- “High Water Shoreline Reflection”– This painting has such amazing textural quality but still represents the calm intricate reflected patterns on the still surface of the pond.  A visually fascinating image.

Honourable Mention: -Anne Hoover – “True Too” – I enjoyed the soft, subtle glazing technique of this painting.  Although somewhat abstracted, it conveys an ethereal quality of the human figure .
